After 62 years of activity in the Brussels facility, FIB moved to a new,
bigger and better place in SAINTES (25 km SW of Brussels, Belgium).
With 5000 square meters of workshop and 1200 square meters of offices, the new place offers many advantages. Further to the existing machines, the workshop will include new steel manufacturing facility.
The workshop also includes a new furnace for the manufacturing of burners and refractory parts used on our installations.
FIB is the world largest manufacturer of continuous lines for the steel wire industry and the only one to propose his own burner system, the famous FIB premix system.
The largest portion of our products, steel casing, refractory lining, combustion piping, are fully designed and manufactured in our premises. It is your guarantee of quality. The new facility also includes better conditions for R&D, pre-assembling and inspection of equipment before delivery. All in one, this investment will help us to better serve and welcome our customers. |

INNOVATION IN COMBUSTION EQUIPMENT

| FIB BELGIUM sa extends its range of famous CONSTAN air-gas mixers. The new MM0180B mixer, with a nominal capacity of 180.000 Kcal/h, closes advantageously the gap between the MM0120B and MM0250B which are amongst the most operated sizes in the glass industry and on FIB installations in the wire industry. This new MM0180B is the awaited mid-size capacity.
Further to this range expansion, FIB BELGIUM sa proposes its new servomixer.
This prominent feature is a CONSTAN mixer provided with a servomotor to allow remote control of its position for automatic control of the air-gas ratio and furnace atmosphere. It is applicable for the whole mixer range.
This development was implemented for the increasing requirements in the steel wire and glass industry and is promised to a successful use in the non ferrous sector too.For further indication, please contact info@fib.be

FIB has developed a new system in order to anticipate any problem of heat transfer on the austenitizing process.
| In the field of steel cord or high carbon wires, the quality of the product is depending on several main factors. |
| Regarding specifically the austenitizing furnaces, these are the following ones: |

The constancy of the temperatures |

The convection level of the burners that is ensuring the thermal exchange with the wires |

The control of the atmospheres
|
Today, a lack of follow-up of the production parameters by the operator is sometimes leading to the production of scraps without the operator to be aware of it.
Detecting in time an anomaly in the convection is helping you avoid the production of scraps.
Within this framework, FIB has developed a technology allowing to warn the operator as soon as the convection level is getting close to the dangerous threshold for the quality of his product.
This technique that can be installed on existing furnaces is offering the big advantage of relieving the operator from regular controls on the convection levels on his furnaces.

GALFAN ® |

FIB is approved and officially certified by the Galfan ® technology center, Inc. as providing the technological capacity necessary to produce genuine Galfan ® coated wire.
FIB has provided already equipments in that field mainly in Europe.
The FIB Nitrogen wiping is therefore applied in that field as one of the key element of the control of Galfan ® coating. |

The dedrossing of a metallic galvanizing kettle is often criticized as a difficult operation for the workers that has to be carried out quite frequently (every 3 weeks). In order to make this operation much easier, FIB has developed a new system of grab (dedrossing tool) that allows to make the dedrossing at a secure distance from the zinc bath.

A new technology of measurement of zinc in line with the galvanizing process allows the continuous control of the zinc quantity while combining the technology for the control of the zinc weight by nitrogen.
