Austenitizing process

The austenitizing of a high carbon wire is a delicate operation that is requiring high temperatures, an equipment for the perfect control of the atmosphere in the furnace and a full and homogeneous dissolution of carbides for the whole wire field.

These are all the parameters that have to be perfectly controlled in these equipments, the temperature of which can reach up to 1050°C ! Combined in option with data acquisition systems, our equipments can go down below 60 ppm Nox in the fumes while ensuring a perfect austenitizing of the wires without decarburization in a range of 0,8 mm to 25 mm.

Thanks to their modular aspect some of our furnaces, after more than 20 years operation, have made it possible, thanks to a "revamping", to increase the capacity of lines in order to make these correspond with the 21st Century criteria of some wire drawers !
