A
correct fluxing operation is needed for any further galvanizing process. Many
theories sustaining the fact that the dipping time was a key element in the
design of a flux bath have demonstrate that it was a mistake and that a compact
flux was perfectly suitable even on bullet lines.
Dedicated to work with chloride, FIB has take care of the design
of such bathes by working with plastic material not sensitive to corrosion.
Moreover, the actual trend is even to work with cold fluxes
that allows to avoid the corrosion induced by the vapours escaping from the
fluxing bath.
