because our customers are sensitive to the environmental conditions, or because
it was requested for some process reasons, the quenching fluidised bed developed
by FIB in 1986 on request of the wire drawers has imposed itself in the field
of tire cord in Japan but also on the market. The fourth generation of equipments
called "Eco-quench" (Ecological
Quench) is a synthesis of the long experience of exploitation of fluidized beds
by our customers.
With its two fluidized zones, the first one dedicated to quenching
and the second one being aimed at the control of recalescence and its maintain
tunnel, the Ecoquench is the synthesis of a technology allowing a lot of flexibility
in the adjustment of the zone temperatures, while minimizing the quantities
and sand immobilized in the bed.
Split up in small fluidized beds, the system has the advantage
of allowing a reduced energy consumption (the last zone being a maintain tunnel)
and perfectly controlling the movements of the sand linked with the running
of the wires. And at last, thanks to the modular aspect of the machine, an existing
equipment could be adapted at very low costs if the production needs required
an increase of the wires speed.
