High Carbon Wire Line | Lead quenching
Back to overviewIntroduction
The quenching operation sets the structure and consequently the final tensile of the wire. In this frame the quenching process must be fast and with an homogeneous cooling under control across the entire wire field.
In this frame FIB offers 2 sound technologies: the FIB Lead Bath quenching and for those considering the use of lead a problematic or a risk versus their soil preservation, the fluidized bed “FIB Ecoquench”.
Both technologies have shown their specific advantages and their capacity to handle wires sizes as thin as 0,6 mm for the saw wires in the Ecoquench up to 18 mm diameter for the FIB lead quenching bath. Environmental protections allow for both solutions for the best comfort and safety of the operators.
Your wins
- The FIB lead bath can cover your wire ranges going from 0,75 mm up to 18 mm diameter covering applications from tire cord up to the larger sizes for the rope industry.
- The modularity of our design allows the upgrading of your tonnage in the future with the same equipment.
- Our sophisticated control of temperature applicable up to the largest tonnages allows a sharp precision of your temperature
- Exist in gas or electrical heating for process temperatures as high as 600°C in continuous conditions.
- Easy access to your wire field
- Our special manufacturing method minimizes the stress in the weldings (avoid risks of lead leakage)
- Environmental protection of your workers according to EC and Gost standards with our optional encapsulated pan design
Advantages
- Available design for high temperature quenching operations (590°C)
- High quenching velocity system of the wires
- Accurate temperature stability
- Allow to assure a perfect quenching on the same wire sizes up to 60 wires
- Upgradable in tonnage
- Designed to avoid risks of lead leakage
- Optimizing of spares for left & right hand design
- Heavy duties accessories
- Same heating technology as the furnace (in the case of gas)
- Optimized access to the wire field
- Self-checking equipment
- Flexibility in the range of wires sizes
- Encapsulated system available for a safe protection of the workers
FIB facts
The FIB lead bath is designed in a way to avoid the presence of residual welding stresses to avoid risks of breakage for the protection of your soil. Designed to accept the upgrading of the tonnage of production, our modular solution allows you the possibility to upgrade in the future your patenting capacity.
Isolated on request with a high tech environmental cover, the encapsulated FIB Lead Bath assures the full health safety of your operators.
