FIB can help
you for your transportations!
Very
often, during the negotiations, everyone is only thinking
about perfecting its technical specifications and payment
conditions.
In this case, the Incoterms are often forgotten because
the customer believes that it will be easy for him to
manage later on the aspects related to the shipment.
And then often begins a marathon during
which everyone is getting out of breath!
First comes the choice of the forwarding
agent! The customer sometimes has his preference and
knows well a company in his country that cares for the
shipment of his wires. But has this one an office in
Belgium? The surprise sometimes appears that the said
office in charge of Europe is located in Switzerland
and has no correspondent in the port of shipment!
How many hours have so been lost for
the desperate search of the forwarding agent’s
office in Europe?
This office is then waiting for the
instructions of the customer! Once more, the ambassador’s
game is all the rage: the customer has to go through
its local office that is then contacting its European
forwarding agent that is in its turn contacting us!
All this is of course quite costly and the commissions
of the intermediaries are increasing the prices but
do not, of course, accelerate the works!
Then
comes the day of the shipment when, as it is regularly
the case, we notice that the containers chosen by the
forwarding agent are not large enough or do not allow
the loading of the goods, contrary to the instructions
given by FIB to its customer (for instance, some container
boxes instead of open tops!).
All this is requesting an important
energy and a heavy coordination from the customer as
well as from FIB for a service aspect that is in fact
not bringing any increase in value to the line!
Even worse, in some cases, the transportation
costs of goods possibly manufactured abroad must be
charged to the customer as the latter is insisting to
have a departure from a fixed port!
The CIF Incoterm formula is therefore
showing a lot of interests!
One
of its main advantages is the complete management of
the transportation by FIB Belgium so that the customer
does not have to worry about this and can be fully available
for organizing the installation of its future equipment.
Once the material has arrived at the destination port,
the customer is taking possession of his goods and is
then managing the transportation of the goods on his
territory where he can make the most of his relations
and competences!
It is obvious that this procedure
is allowing the customer to save a lot of time and money
and our objective, let us be clear, is not to make money
at our customers’ expense! On the contrary, if
we have elbow room for shipping the material, we can,
without any worries for the customer, fully ensure the
first step of our mission that consists in the delivery
in due time and at the lowest price of the good he has
bought!
Are you convinced now ? Just care
for the right organization of your planning for the
assembly of this equipment that will allow you to be
one length ahead of your competitors! FIB will be glad
to deliver you your goods rapidly and with a huge flexibility,
without any worries for your staff that, we must confess,
has other things to do than caring for ships and containers! |
