Continuous Lines

fluxing

As the end of the job is done at the wiping stage and the comfort of committed operators has no price, FIB has developed smart wiping solutions that guarantee a final coating weight and a smooth and shiny surface of the wire.

When commercial wiping is required, oblique or vertical pad wiping FIB technologies guarantee a shiny and smooth surface of your wires. Several pad qualities are part of our final solution depending on the final amount of zinc you want to target.

If oblique pad wiping is used basically on small wire fields, the FIB vertical pad wiping permits the modularity of using nitrogen wiping or pad wiping technology on the same equipment and this on small or large wire fields.

Depending on your zinc coating target, the nitrogen wiping technology can trim the zinc coating weight according to your wishes. Possibly combined with the sensors measuring continuously the zinc coating weight on each wire, an optional full automatic system allows maintaining your zinc coating weight in a narrow range and is tracing any incidental deviation for quality control purpose.

Galvanizing

The galvanizing bath and its accessories are the fingerprints of such a line. FIB has the experience of designing andmanufacturing galvanizing baths up to 10 tons per hour capacity.

Several solutions according to the profile of the production, depending on the local environmental and on the type of products that have to be processed are possible. After having analysed your project, FIB will recommend the most suitable solution that matches with your constraints and the profile of your line.

As the functioning of the whole line is depending on the reliability of the skid (wire guide plunged in the zinc), we have developed super long life pieces for that part. Using a FIB galvanizing bath means reliability and energy efficiency!

Metallic galvanizing bath

The metallic galvanizing bath has the positive point of giving easy access on both sides of the wire field. We have foreseen to minimize the corrosion of the metallic bath by a special unique heating technology. Positive and long life experience has demonstrated that this solution is valid especially when very frequent power breakdowns may take place at the site of the customer or when you have low production.

Ceramic galvanizing bath with heating cover & ceramic galvanizing bath with immersed burners

Ceramic galvanizing baths are commonly used when the process requires high temperature, large wire fields or very high production.

Top heating galvanizing bath

Proven heating solution to limit zinc ashes formation and save energy, easy system to access under the cover and heavy duty refractory materials are used to make from this classical furnace technology a sound solution. Configurations with a heating cover in the middle or on the side are possible. For the use of micro-lines, FIB owns three solutions to make these even more compact.

FIB Belgium has more than 45 galvanizing baths with heating cover located in the world.

Immersion burners galvanizing bath

Ceramic galvanizing baths heated by immersed burners are commonly part of the experience of our company. Thanks to the fact that we have opted for a specific self-recuperative burner technology combined with super high-tech ceramic tubes, we are able to reach a TWO YEARS lifetime for the tubes. This well-proven technology has demonstrated its capacity to achieve reliable galvanizing lines up to 10 tons per hour capacity. Specific design allowing the replacement in safe condition of the tubes and the access to the burners is part of our added value solution.

Proven heating solution to limit ashes formation and save energy.

FIB Belgium has more than 80 galvanizing baths with immersed burners located in the world.

drying

A dryer is foreseen to easily remove the possible flux crust residues. Its efficiency is related to the use of high turbulence forced hot air. For large production, a recovery system of the flue gas may be adapted.

When the use of electricity is the only energetic solution, a specific design exists as well. Specific care is then given to protect the heating elements from the corrosive atmosphere.

fluxing

Low energy use and control of the pollution by corrosive vapors of the working area are key points around the design for solution.

pickling

Our solution is focused on minimizing the pollution of the Hydrochloric pickling liquor, on the comfort of the operators and on the acid consumption.

The cooling system allows avoiding the pollution of the pickling bath by lubricants or cracked soaps saving consequently neutralization costs.

Special technologies embedded in the pickling tank avoid the dilution of the acid or the pollution of the sealing water when crossed wires happen or super high-speeds are used. This technology has proved to save a lot of neutralization costs.

For the comfort of the operators the purging of the upper tray may be done in safe conditions and specific sensors avoid the destruction of the pumps if liquid is missing.

Care is also especially brought to rinsing to avoid further zinc dross formation.

A threading system for mono-wire (or multiple wires upon request) is foreseen to facilitate the operating of the line while keeping the workers in full safe conditions. As rinsing is very critical, the optimization of the use of water with a high efficiency of the operation has driven to specific solutions applied in our equipment.

The technology does not require any use of scrubber saving consequently a lot of water and operating costs.
